Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

FateTap is a free browser-based astrology product. You can enter birth date, time, and place to generate a natal chart with a rules engine, then optionally receive an AI-assisted reading and related interpretive sections (personality core, advanced topics, and yearly profection themes).

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Birth details you enter: date, local clock time, and birthplace label, plus coordinates and timezone offset derived from the place you select (including places found via our place search).
• Chart and reading data: calculated planetary placements and interpretive text shown in your session. Birth input and chart results may be stored temporarily in your browser sessionStorage so you can return to the result page in the same tab; this clears when the tab or browser session ends.
• Technical data: standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and approximate device/browser information when your browser contacts our servers or third-party providers we use to run the service.
• Optional analytics / ads signals: if advertising or measurement tags are enabled for this site (for example Google Tag Manager, Google AdSense, or first-party product analytics), those tools may set cookies or similar identifiers and collect aggregated usage events. Empty or unused ad IDs mean those vendors are not fully activated, but the site is built so they can be turned on without changing this policy’s category of disclosure.

We do not require account registration or a password. We do not ask for payment card details on FateTap.

3. How we use information

• To calculate your natal chart and show result-page sections.
• To generate AI readings from chart facts (when the AI path is available) or to fall back to rules-based interpretive copy.
• To resolve birthplace search queries through a geocoding provider.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the website, and—when configured—to measure traffic or show ads.

4. AI processing

When you open a chart result, the site may send chart-derived facts (not a social login profile) to an AI provider so a short reading can be written. AI text is symbolic interpretation for reflection and entertainment. We do not require real-name identity verification to use this feature. If AI is unavailable, the site shows rules-based reading copy instead.

5. Third-party services

• Place search: birthplace lookup may call the Open-Meteo geocoding API with the text you type.
• AI reading: chart summaries may be processed by our configured AI upstream (Ark / model endpoint) to produce reading text.
• Hosting / delivery: the site is delivered over the public internet (including CDN or edge hosting as deployed for https://fate.taptapf.com).
• Advertising & analytics (when enabled): Google AdSense, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics-style tags, or similar partners may use cookies. You can limit personalized ads via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Learn more about Google partner data use at Google’s Privacy & Terms.

6. Children’s privacy

FateTap is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted birth details, contact us and we will delete related records we control and advise clearing local browser storage.

7. Retention

Browser sessionStorage data remains only for the browsing session. Server-side request logs and AI provider processing follow each provider’s operational retention. We do not operate a long-term user account database for charts on this product.

8. Security

We use HTTPS and ordinary production safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure—avoid entering birth data on shared devices if you are uncomfortable with temporary local storage.

9. Your choices and rights

You can stop using the service at any time, avoid submitting birth details, or clear site data / cookies for https://fate.taptapf.com in your browser. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA frameworks), you may request access or deletion of personal data we hold. Email kachubchan@gmail.com with enough detail for us to locate the request. Because charts are primarily session-based, clearing local storage is often the fastest way to remove data on your device.

10. International users

We operate with a contact address in Hong Kong. If you access the site from another country, your information may be processed in locations where our hosting or AI / geocoding providers run.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
